Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person? Are you seeking a particular age range? |
I'm looking for someone who takes their Christian walk seriously, someone to share a ministry with, to pray with, to support each other. I'm looking for a guy who truly values relationships, who is wanting to help people around him. Someone who loves kids, and hopefull enjoys music! :-) |

I'm a mix of so many things... I love to laugh and have fun, tease, relax, and yet I also love deep conversation, being able to truly be there for my friends and family. I can be shy, but I enjoy meeting people wherever I go.
I have my own music studio, teaching private music lessons. I love to watch my students learn, and it's a great way to provide for my family and yet have very flexible hours. I have lots to time to spend with my kids, who are so precious to me.
I'm very family-oriented, love doing simple things like hiking in the woods with my kids so they can experience fall leaves. I guess there are times I'm quiet, but I love being with people, too. I love taking pictures and carry my camera with me a lot. I have homeschooled my kids for several years.
I'm extremely loyal, and my friends know they can call me at any time and I'm there to listen or help. Being open and honest is important to me, as is the ability to communicate well and work through things that come up in a relationship. I think I'm pretty old-fashioned, in that my desire is to be a wife and mom first, and not have to be the one to support my family. |

I have been a Christian since I was young, and grew up in a Christian home. However, God has allowed the past few years to bring me a lot closer to Him. The verses that I'd memorized as a child have become so much more meaningful now that I've had to cling to them myself! There are so many wonderful verses, but one of my favorites is Romans 8:38 'And we know that...NOTHING can separate us from the wonderful love of God.' |
What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date? Describe it :-) |
I enjoy lots of different things, but my favorite place to be is on a mountainside... I like long quiet talks, but also the fun of trying something new.
Since going to a mountain is impractical for a first date, lol, I guess I'd go with a nice quiet restaurant where we can talk for hours if we'd like. I love trying new and different foods, and have lots of favorites from moving around so much. |

I love music of almost any kind, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching oldest daughter learn to play the violin like you wouldn't believe! She and I play together for church, which is really fun, and she's now in a symphony, so I often get to go watch her perform.
I love cooking, reading good books, watching movies, seeing my childrens' eyes light up as they discover something new. I enjoy jogging, working out, playing tennis, going for long walks along the beach in the evening, home improvement projects, etc. Thanks to Katrina, I've learned how to use lots of power tools, lol, so I now enjoy all kinds of little projects I never would have thought I could do. They'd be a lot more fun if I had someone to share them with, though! |

Besides my music studio, I also run a small home business. I enjoy the flexibility of both. I'm planning to go back and finish my masters' degree shortly. I'm involved in Christian counseling, and really want to be able to make a difference in the lives of people around me. My dream job would be to focus on homeschooling my children for the next few years, bake gingerbread cookies with them, etc. Of course, having a husband to cook for at the end of the day would be *wonderful* as well! |

I went to high school and college in Iowa, with just one year of college in Pennsylvania. I mostly studied music, although I took a year as an accounting major once, when I panicked about whether a music major had a chance to earn a living! LOL! I also took lots of classes in Christian counseling, which I really enjoyed. Yes, I'm working on my master's degree next, either finishing in counseling or nursing, which I'm getting into at the moment. |
What are some of your personal goals in life? |
My heart's desire is to have a strong Christian family, being able to raise my children to love the Lord. I want to be an example of God's love to others, to be open to His direction and plans for me. |
How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships? |
My marriage ended 8 years ago, so I've had lots of time to heal. I waited to date for quite awhile as I wanted my children to have stability. As to what happened then and since, feel free to ask and I'll share more. I've learned a lot thru my relationships, of course! |
Where were you born? Have you ever traveled? If so, where? What is your ideal adventure? |
I'm a missionary kid, which meant for me moving around a lot. I was born in VietNam, lived in a few other countries, but haven't seen much of Europe. Someday I'd like to visit Austria and enjoy the mountains there. My ideal vacation would be spent in a chalet on a mountain, with snow all around, as I've missed that the past 12 years! I'd also love to find that place where I can feel I really belong.... just to make a great home for my family! |

Wow! How can you summarize this stuff in a few words?! I know everyone else out there is looking for a true soulmate, for someone who is as committed to you as you are to them, etc. I have learned a lot the last few years about looking past the superficial stuff to what really matters in a relationship. I'm not looking for someone who's "perfect", but for someone who is growing closer to the Lord. I want to be able to walk beside him and grow together. |
