Describe the type of relationship you are looking for. What qualities would you like in this relationship or person? Are you seeking a particular age range? |
Before anything else, I’m looking for a strong Christian man who lives out his faith day by day. God would definitely have to be the center of our relationship. It would be great to find a guy who shares my interests and values. After all, how could I not like someone like me? :-) He likes adventure, fun, and trying new things, but can also be content just watching TV or a movie. |
Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc.?) |
While there are times when I prefer to listen more than talk, I don't have trouble when it comes to making conversation with people. I guess you could say that I fall somewhere between introvert and extrovert, depending on the situation or person/people I'm with. I try to focus on the good things life brings and I'm pretty good at finding the humor in situations. I'm not easily bored and I appreciate the small things in life. I like helping people with things whether it's moving into a new house, pulling weeds from their yard, or baking for the senior small group at church. I am into nutrition and fitness so I try to eat healthfully (most of the time!) and exercise. |
Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals? What Scripture verses are important to you? |
I was fortunate to grow up in a wonderful Christian family, and I became a Christian at a young age. I've learned (and am still learning) that God is sovereign. Knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for my life is very comforting. My goal is to become more like Christ by learning more about Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and devotional books.
My favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31 because it reminds me that we have such a great hope in God. My favorite quote is by Jim Elliot (the missionary martyr who died in Ecuador in the 50s): He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose. |
What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date? Describe it :-) |
Sitting down with someone face to face is a great way to have a conversation, so any casual restaurant where we could meet and get to know each other would be fine with me. But something like going to a zoo, a botanical garden, or the boardwalk would be fun, too.

What are your favorite activities? (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) |
Traveling is my favorite thing to do. There’s nothing like seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, eating the local food, and enjoying the beauty God has created around us. Photography is also a passion of mine - capturing the spirit of a place through pictures is my goal (showing off my pictures is fun, too!).
I'm a huge football fan and I enjoy watching and reading about the Philadelphia Eagles. You could probably say I'm a bit obsessed (my sister tells me so anyway!) but I enjoy lots of other things as well. Though I'd have to think seriously before dating a Cowboys fan... :-) Board and card games are a lot of fun, and I’ve yet to find someone who can beat me at Boggle. I enjoy watching TV (24 is one of the best shows ever) and movies (whoever came up with Neflix is brilliant), and I've always been an avid reader.
The past few years I've really gotten into gardening. I like going out each day in the spring and summer and seeing what flowers are coming up and which ones are blooming. I'm always buying more perennials and rearranging them throughout the flower beds. |
Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do? What is your dream job? |
I am unable to have a full time job at this point in my life due to an illness similar to chronic fatigue syndrome, but I am involved with the food bin ministry at my church as well as doing some things to help out a nearby mission agency.
If I'm going to name a dream job I'm going to go big. I think photographer for National Geographic sounds good! |
Where did you go to school (i.e. high school or college/university, etc.)? What did you study? Did you like it? Would you like to do more? |
I went to Philadelphia College of Bible (now known as Philadelphia Biblical University) where I earned a degree in Bible with an emphasis on missions. The classes that gave me a chance to learn more about the Bible were always the ones I enjoyed the most. I don't see myself going back to school but you never know.

What are some of your personal goals in life? |
Growing in my relationship with God and never taking my salvation for granted is a goal that will always be at the forefront. I want to be the best friend, daughter, and sister I can be - there's always room for improvement. Also, it’s always been a dream of mine to get a dog from a rescue or shelter and train it to become a therapy dog. Finally, I want to explore 50 countries in my lifetime. I’m about 70% there already!

How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships? |
My last relationship helped teach me the most important lesson for future success - both people have to be willing to commit to making a relationship work or it never will. It’s also important to know yourself – who you are and what you need from the relationship and be willing to communicate that.

Where were you born? Have you ever traveled? If so, where? What is your ideal adventure? |
I was born in New Jersey and have lived here my whole life except for a college semester in Israel (a totally awesome experience), a summer in Bosnia doing mission work, and about a year in Italy. Thanks to my parents who always took me and my sister on family vacations every summer, I've traveled to every U.S. state and most of the Canadian provinces. I've also been to more than 35 other countries. I took my dream trip a couple of years ago - a safari to Kenya and Tanzania. Some of the animal encounters we had were absolutely amazing!

Is there anything else you would like to add? This is your chance to get in that last (but not least:-) bit of important info that you would like others to know. |
I am now 31. Had to move up in the age category! |
