Sometimes hello is all that's needed to connect with your future love :)
We connected with the very first text message.
We met in person and spent two weeks together.
Now we are finding a way to spend the rest of our lives together.

Eric contacted me on Christian Cafe about 13 months ago - the end of August 2024. We are getting married in 25 days.
I want to encourage you, if you are single, to keep waiting on Him, pour your heart out to Him in honest prayer (Psalm 62), and fully believe and trust that nothing is impossible with Him!
We are both older (mid 30's and 40's) but with His grace have been able to use our time of singleness in service to Him and fellowship with other believers. We enjoy keeping this precious time of engagement pleasing to Him. It has been with His grace and help we have been able to be a testimony and light to others.
Eric had been on and off Christian Cafe a few years with a paid membership. He was content in singleness but also seeking the Lord for a helpmate. I had only been on Christian Cafe over the years for a week at a time with free memberships.
When Eric contacted me one day, in May 2024, he was living 7 hours away in South Dakota and I was living in Wisconsin.
At that point I wasn't sure about long distance communication so although his profile seemed honoring to the Lord and pleasing to Him I wasn't sure about it and messaged him back that I didn't think it best to start communication, though I was polite about it.
However, after several months of thought and prayer about many areas in my life, I decided to contact him in mid August 2024.
This began a long distance time of video calls, phone calls, a visit in person one month later, and then a visit for a few days every month, which continued until I moved to South Dakota in August 2025.
We started talking online in August 2024, met in person September 2024, and got engaged in July 2025.
Truly, this was a situation where the Lord knew our weaknesses and I believe the long distance communication enhanced our communication and made it easier to get a better understanding of who we were while being physically separated.
We were able to work through the trials of making visits and be intentional about our relationship. The Lord grew us both during this time and made it clear to me that eventually I would move to South Dakota to be a helpmate to Eric and serve in his church. This came after much prayer and wrestling through Scripture and thinking about it a lot.
I am extremely humbled and grateful for how the Lord used many years of singleness to help us serve Him in that time, and now the Lord is allowing us to take part in the sacred blessing of marriage.
I would encourage you to pour out your heart before Him humbly and use your time of singleness in joy and service to others.
It will benefit you in marriage, and you will enjoy your time. Then, be confident that He knows your weaknesses, and He may also guide you in marriage, as that is the normal route for many people. Please be encouraged by our next-to-impossible-feeling story and take courage that indeed nothing is too difficult for Him.

During the time of Covid, I received a message and a wink from a gentleman on Christian Cafe.
He decided after reading my profile he would give me a wink and a hello. I responded with a brief message, and I felt compelled to try and reach this man again.
I wrote him a brief note , put a stamp on it and about 2 to 3 weeks later I received his response. He was so taken back and typically, I have never been the one to make a move, but he intrigued me.
I had a thought one day that God had a plan for me long ago, and maybe part of that plan was for me to marry a pastor (Bill was a retired pastor) and I wasn't saved until I was 53.
I believe God wanted correspondence between us to be ignited. And over a one year period we corresponded A LOT. It took three weeks before Bill revealed to me that he had been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Yet, I never felt compelled to walk away.
Bill was praying for a pen pal; God gave us LOVE. Our relationship grew deeper.
We shared hope, plans, and especially our love for the Lord. I went to visit him (a 3 hour trip) and spent five days close by at an Airbnb. I was so nervous I almost changed my mind until a close friend talked me out of it.
Well, It turned out to be an amazing time - full of laughter and memories, and we realized something was happening after returning home.
That was September of 2020 and on Valentine's Day 2021 he made the arduous trip to visit me, this time in my hometown. We were seeing an unexplainable intervention from God.
Throughout this time Bill spent time in the hospital. And on my last trip, he and the hospital staff surprised me with a pre-meditated marriage proposal! I accepted, and on Friday, June 25 at the hospital his best friend, Pastor Dean, married us.
And it was on Friday, July 2, Bill went home to be with our Savior.
Without your ministry, Christian Cafe, we would never have experienced such a tender, sweet year of love - as God's grace showered down with so many blessings.
Thank you.

This is definitely the nicest platform for Christian online dating.
The way you have formatted our profiles and the thoughtful questions are superior to other dating sites!
