Finally, my fiance and I are getting married on December 18, 2024, in Arkansas.
On the 19th, we'll celebrate a special ceremony for our Christian wedding at a church Alma. And then , since I am a Catholic, our convalidation wedding will be at a Catholic Church in Fort Smith.
I want to thank your staff and Christian Cafe for being instrumental in our marriage.
During my bridal shower, one of my friends was interested in becoming a member of ChristianCafe :)

[Editor's note: See February 2023 testimonial for Celia's initial relationship announcement.]
7 months ago, I received David's first email, and when I opened it, I was stunned - what did he write to me?
It was Heavenly Father's answer to my prayers, and that's what stunned me.
Before I met David, Heavenly Father led me to study marriage in the holy books for about two years, and when I look back, I realize that Heavenly Father must have given us the ability to receive gifts before giving them to us.
The process of preparing us is the process of our growth, and although it is a test of our endurance, once we have completed the path that the Father has given us to walk, the gift we have been waiting for will come to us. This is exactly what I want to share with my brothers and sisters.
We pray for our heart's desire, but are our prayers in accordance with the will of the Father?
Do we want what Heavenly Father wants for us? Every single of us needs marriage, but do we really understand the meaning of marriage, the content of marriage? What do we want marriage to bring us? Is it to satisfy oneself or to glorify the Father?
This is very important.
If we still value only the appearance of our spouses like the worldly people, and regard marriage as a tool to solve physical loneliness, and even as a way to obtain our own interests, then we are really more pitiful than the world, and maybe we will not get marriage either.
Because a Christian marriage can only be a marriage built in Christ, which is very strict and cannot have the slightest moisture. In order to get married as soon as possible, some people even dilute their faith, saying that they can find a seeker to fall in love, and then take this seeker to believe in the Lord, or wait until they get married to slowly influence the other party to believe in the Lord. These arguments are not in line with the truth.
The Bible clearly tells us that we cannot marry with unbelievers, and that a person's faith is not the work of man, it is the work of the Holy Spirit, so how can we decide who will believe and who will not?
Only those who are born again can be called Christians, and Christians can only marry Christians, which is an unquestionable and unchangeable criterion for mate selection.
David and I are fortunate that we have received the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father.
During the seven months we spent together, we all witnessed what Heavenly Father did to us, and we realized more about the length, breadth, height and depth of Heavenly Father's love.
Of course, we have experienced some trials, and even spiritual warfare, Satan's disturbances and destruction, but Heavenly Father has helped us to prevail.
Our relationship did not go well at first. Language differences and cultural differences brought us a lot of misunderstandings and troubles. Satan also took the opportunity to try to break us up, our relationship was tested for a while, we misunderstood, quarreled, and even deleted social apps to indicate that we ended our contact with each other.
But our marriage is a plan from the Father, and how can God's will be hindered? Of course, we also received the help of the pastor and the brothers and sisters, and eventually we cleared up all the misunderstandings, we understood Satan's schemes, and we relied on the strength of our Heavenly Father to prevail.
Especially in the days when we met, we really experienced the temptation from Satan, and thanks to Heavenly Father, we were protected, we did not break God's commandments, we did not eat the forbidden fruit.
Of course, we know that Heavenly Father has given us the strength to keep the commandments. This is what I want to share: when we are weak, please seek help from our Heavenly Father, who will definitely give us strength and protection.
Originally, we planned to get married in November, but David had a broken ankle bone, and then the new lump on the top of his head was found to be skin cancer, and Heavenly Father treated David in time.
The skin cancer surgery was very timely and smooth, and now the recovery from the broken ankle bone is also very fast, and in two weeks David will be able to get rid of the air pump boots.
So we decided to get married in the first month of the new year, hoping to receive the blessing of our brothers and sisters, and also to bless the brothers and sisters here to receive the wedding gift from our Heavenly Father.
Glorify God with a marriage given by the Father.
