Mary and I would be delighted to be on the Testimonials page!
In September 2005, Mary and I met in Christian Cafe. I saw Mary's profile and was impressed by the beliefs, ideals, and values she expressed.
Over the next few weeks we exchanged messages in the Cafe, then we corresponded by email and an instant messenger. When I realized our friendship was growing and deepening, I wanted to speak with her by telephone. Appreciative of the protectiveness of Mary's family, I suggested that her father interview my pastor. Her father did, and then interviewed me, after which I was permitted to talk to Mary.
After exhausting my cell-phone minutes in our first conversation (!!), I changed carriers so that we could talk to each other for hours each day, with me being in San Diego, California, and Mary in Langdon, North Dakota.
We met in person for the first time on 13 January 2006. I traveled to Langdon to stay with Mary's family for a week. We had a 7-hour conversation the second evening, and the following day I asked her father for permission to court her. The next two and a half months of courtship included meeting in San Diego and again in North Dakota, endless hours on the telephone, and the prayers of our families and friends. We grew to care deeply for each other, and to know that God had introduced us so that we could spend the rest of our lives together. On my second trip to stay with her family, I told Mary for the first time that I loved her, and asked her to be my wife.
We were married on 8 July in Long Creek, Oregon, the town where Mary had grown up. Our families and close friends were there to celebrate with us.
After a honeymoon in the Canadian Rocky Mountains (near where I grew up) and a week in San Diego, we drove across the country to Georgia, where God had provided me with a new job. We have made a home here together.
As we look back over the last year, we are amazed at God's sovereign guidance in our lives. I am grateful each day for His gift of a love sweeter than I could have imagined.
Thank you, ChristianCafe.com, for playing such an essential role in bringing me and my new bride together.

We started out as friends. I had three little boys, and I never dreamed that God would provide in the way He did, not only by blessing me with a husband but a father for my beautiful children.
My first husband left when I was pregnant with twin boys, I was left alone and heartbroken. I always thought we were 'cake' mix, that any decent man would want a family from scratch. I was wrong, God lead me to a man who had never been married or had children. It just goes to show God can do more than we could possibly dream or imagine.
We were blessed with twin girls, in January 2004, and Jim adopted all three boys this past February.
My husband, Jim and I just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, thanks to the Lord leading us to ChristianCafe.com!

I met my fiance Dan after being on the site for a few months. I had met and dated a few people off here but I didn't seem to click with anyone.
Then one day I was checking out the "Who's On" and Dan was on. So we started chatting. At first I thought that he wouldn't respond, as I live in Ontario, Canada and he lived in New South Wales, Australia. The amazing thing was that we ended up chatting to each other and the rest is history.
We met for the first time on December 30, 2005 after talking for about six months. We both realized then that it was meant to be.
We have been through a lot in this last year and a half. But we have gotten through it. We are getting married the last week of December.
I want to thank you ChristianCafe.com, because without you I would have never met my soulmate, the one person that God put on this earth for me. And all I can say is that I am truly blessed.

On Saturday, September 9th, 2006, I asked Jennifer to be my wife. She said Yes. (Of course!) Words cannot express my appreciation of the manifestation of God's will through Christian Cafe. Jennifer lived and worked only minutes away, but without your help, I never would have known it.
Much remains. The work of completing God's will through a lifetime matrimony is still before us. Without your site allowing us to meet, however, this relationship could never have begun. As it says on my profile, I believe a Christ-centered marriage and raising Godly children to be our highest calling on earth. Thank you ChristianCafe.com for enabling this in my life.

I met Aron online on August 27, 2005. I'm from Michigan and even though he is too, he was living in Hawaii at the time.
We started chatting online a lot, then turned to phone calls. We would spend hours on the phone each and every day and in early September we decided that we weren't going to try to find someone else to date, and that even though we couldn't physically go on dates, we would date.
After two weeks of "dating" Aron bought his plane ticket back to Michigan, but to my hometown so we could finally meet. However this plane ride was not taking place until December 2005.
For three months we talked on the phone and online for 3-6 hours a day. When the day finally came that I picked him up from the airport, we fell in love all over again with each other.
Six weeks later on January 14, 2006 Aron proposed and I said Yes.
On August 26, 2006 we were wed, and became one.

Elisa meets Calvin!
In April 2005 I was browsing ChristianCafe.com looking for someone I could talk to. I had just become a Christian and was looking for some friends that I had that in common with. While browsing the site I saw the handsomest man I've ever seen. He had auburn curly hair and a friendly smile. The best part was that we lived in the same town and we both had a passion for youth ministry.
I decided to send him a message to see if he'd respond. After a week he sent me a reply. We talked online for a few weeks, then we decided to meet.
We became friends and quickly started dating. In July 2006 Calvin proposed to me, and we will be getting married October 07, 2006.

Engaged! My fiance and I would like to thank ChristianCafe.com for allowing us the privilege of meeting via your service. What an amazing experience it was, has been, and continues to be for us. Our wedding is set for November 11th 2006.
We met in December of last year, but only really started chatting in April of this year.
We didn't have to settle at all. On paper at first and in person later, we knew we had finally found the "diamond in the rough" that we had both been looking for. What an amazing experience.

After I was widowed for over a year, I joined ChristianCafe.com and spent a year talking to a lot of interesting men and even dating a few guys. Every relationship started with great promise, but seemed to fizzle as our differences became more pronounced. I became so discouraged about finding someone who could accept me that one Friday night after another breakup I promised myself I would just give ChristianCafe.com one more try and then I would stop dating altogether. I logged back on and signed up for just one month. I did a search, read a few profiles and signed off feeling very low.
At the same time, Gordon came home from an awkward date and decided to expand his search on ChristianCafe.com beyond Canada. He didn't know where to start, so he clicked on the "Who's On Now?" button and flipped through photos. My photo caught his eye so he clicked on my profile, and when he did he was so amazed at our similarities that he sent me a wink!
When I logged back on and saw the wink I said out loud, "Canada? You've got to be kidding!" But I thought that the least I could do was read his profile, so when I did I was amazed at our similarities: both widowed about the same time; both professors; Gordon had his Ph.D. in adult learning and I had my masters in adult learning; he mentored doctoral students, I was working on my doctorate; he was a pastor, I had been a pastor's wife for 28 years; and others. But, what caught my attention the most was not just our similarities, but that we used the same language and expressions of gratitude and hope for our future. I decided to send Gordon a note just to encourage him, but he ended up encouraging me!
Notes turned into emails which turned into brief phone calls which turned into long phone calls which turned into flights back and forth between Alberta and Arizona which turned into a proposal and plans for the future! We plan to be married on December 29th of this year and will be splitting our time between our homes in Alberta and Arizona. We are grateful for ChristianCafe.com for providing a resource place for widows and widowers to meet other Christians who have written from their hearts. We see God's hand not only in the timing of our meeting, but also in the answers to those questions we both filled out with much thought and prayer.

We chatted for eight hours and it was if time had just stood still. We were beginning to think that maybe we were long lost siblings because of the overwhelming connection to each other. We felt like we had known each other all of our lives. We even ran into a friend who could not believe it was our first date because we have so much in common that it was almost unreal.
God really does know what He is doing. We just have such a connection to each other that we felt like we had known each other all of our lives. Our first date was so tremendous that we stayed up all night just talking and enjoying each other's company. WOW!
THANK YOU GOD! Thank you ChristianCafe.com for helping me find my other half.
