Christian Testimony - June 2012

 About a year and a half ago, I had given up on the online dating experience.

I was discouraged because the few services I had paid to join didn't provide any promising results. I had a date here and there, but all of them were far from the woman I was looking for.

I am in my 40's and at this age, I knew exactly what I was looking for. At that time, being in the television/film industry, I had begun producing a TV special on ChristianCafe.com.

Knowing that I was single, the co-founder of ChristianCafe.com, Sam Moorcroft, gave me a membership. To be honest, I was not all that interested and it became somewhat of a "toy" to me. I would log on and see who was out there without the expectations of ever finding a match. And I would respond to messages simply to brighten someone's day.

The first thing I noticed was that lots of women were initiating contact with me. This was new to me since that never happened with the other online dating services I had tried.

One day, I got a message from a woman named Jenny in Singapore. My first thought was, Singapore?! Talk about long distance! This will never work!? This Chinese woman had a pretty face and I decided to respond for the sole reason of making her feel good about herself. I had no intention of pursuing.

But the more, we communicated back and forth, the more we discovered that we had a lot of similarities and common interests. In October of 2011, I went to Singapore to meet her in person for the first time. And in May 2012, she came to the United States to visit me for a month. Now we have applied for her Fiancee Visa and are waiting for approval. By the end of the year we expect to be married!

What I have discovered from this experience is that God does not care about time, distance, or money. God has definitely amazed me by how He has used ChristianCafe.com to change my life. I give God all the credit and a BIG thank you to ChristianCafe.com.

 Rick and I met on ChristianCafe last March 3, 2012 and would you believe we are now married!  

 My fiance and I met on ChristianCafe.com last June.

Without you I never would have met the love of my life and God-Given I must add! Gene and I met back in October 2006. Gene was still in Seminary school at that time and I was living in Chattanooga, TN.

I was so happy to have met the one for me; it was awesome getting to know Gene. We have so much in common and I have to say we started off as friends.

Well what happened next would amaze me. Gene came to TN for my Birthday, had a nice dinner at Red Lobster and this being the first time I met him, I knew he was the one when I saw him - no doubt, no questions!

My first kiss with him was bliss and I was so nervous! Then the night before he left in November I said "Gene, I need to tell you something". I said "Gene, I love you" and he said he loved me too!!! I was so happy to hear those words.

The amazing thing is that we both had issues, and we still accepted each other for who we are. Anyway, Gene proposed 3 months later on Valentine's Day 2007 - oh yeah I said yes!!! Wow, God is great!!!!!

We were married November 3, 2007 in Chattanooga, TN and we said our vows and I cried.....after that I was Mrs.!

November 3rd 2012 will be our 5th year anniversary. Thank you Lord for ChristianCafe.com. Now we are closer than ever and Jesus is the center of our Marriage and I look forward to many, many years of more happiness! I love you God!!!!

ChristianCafe.com proved to be God's plan for me! We are engaged!! And we will be married Nov. 10, 2012! We are beyond blessed to have found each other. I thank your site for being a part of our story.
